Sales Process Sub-Contract
Sub-contracting your sales process can take a number of forms, all of which will require your participation. Here are some pointers if you intend to use external resources to develop new business for your company:
1. Assign a single internal resource as the point person for the external resource.
2. Deal close and customer handling immediately post-close should always be an internal responsibility.
3. Be clear with your own expectations and define success within the sales process for your external resources (only one part of the sales process is the close).
4. Know your numbers. Know what type of sales pipeline flow is required to hit your sales goals and make sure that all pieces of the process are contributing.
5. Know your markets. Just because you think there is business for you in a particular market, doesn't mean there is.
6. Be patient and consistent. Selling takes time. If you stop, so will your sales.
